William Shakespeare was born on baptized 26 April 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England and died on 23 April 1616 in Stratford-upon-Avon. He was the son of John Shakespeare. Shakespeare also spelled Shakspere and byname Bard of Avon or Swan of Avon. He is usually termed England’s national poet and the “Bard of Avon.”His actual works, including collaborations, consist of nearly 39 drams,154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other lines, some of the uncertain authorship.
